What to expect
Details checked against organiser information on 17 September 2026.
Stranger Folk at Wray runs on selected days from 19 October to 22 November 2026, 10am to 4pm. The app-led adventure uses fairies, ghouls and British folklore and is described by the National Trust as spooky rather than scary.
It is aimed mainly at children aged 7-12 but all ages can take part. The activity itself is free, although non-members pay for parking. Wray Castle's building remains closed for its 2026 refurbishment; the grounds, parkland, café and facilities remain open.
