Wray Grounds Tour - Walk & Talk 2026

Free 45-minute guided Walk & Talk tours around Wray's grounds run at 2.30pm on selected dates through 17 December 2026.

Starting on the castle's front terrace, a member of the Wray team explains how the Dawson family created the estate, notable guests and plans for Wray's future.

No booking is needed and the tour is free, but every tour is subject to staff availability. Check with the welcome team on arrival.

Accessibility

The route uses hard-standing loose slate and normally includes stairs. Staff can adjust the route to avoid the stairs without losing content. The tour is Tramper accessible but has no seated rest places.

Dogs and weather

Dogs are welcome on a short lead. This is an outdoor tour, so dress for the weather.

The castle interior remains closed during restoration, but grounds, lakeshore, café, outdoor displays and walking routes remain available according to current opening arrangements.
