Worth It
Distinctive and well priced for an organised sauna session, but visitors must be comfortable with outdoor changing, uneven terrain and optional cold-water immersion.
This is an outdoor forest experience, not a conventional spa. Park at the main visitor centre car park and allow another 10 to 15 minutes to use the toilets and walk over uneven ground to the sauna.
Bring swimwear worn under clothing, a towel to sit on inside the sauna, water shoes for the rocky plunge entry, a dry robe or dressing gown, warm layers, a warm drink and suitable walking footwear. A changing mat is optional.
Participation involves sauna heat, cold water and natural terrain. Read the provider terms, listen to your body and contact The Conscious Self before booking if health, pregnancy, mobility or water access creates uncertainty.
Accessibility
The sauna is a 10 to 15 minute walk from the visitor centre over potentially uneven forest ground. The plunge has a rocky entry. Contact the provider before booking if access, health or changing provision is essential.
Weather plan
Fully outdoor forest setting. Cold, rain and ground conditions affect comfort and access; bring warm layers and suitable footwear.
