Westmorland County Show 2026: Tickets, Free Kendal Bus, Parking & Visitor Guide

New: see the Tour de France Grand Départ Trophy

The Tour de France Grand Départ Trophy will be displayed at Westmorland County Show on both Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September 2026. Look for the special stand, where visitors can also learn more about Cumbria's role in the 2027 Tour de France.

The council has not published separate viewing hours, so do not plan around an invented trophy timetable. It is advertised as available on both show days. The trophy is presented to the next host of the Grand Départ, making its appearance a useful preview of the men's Stage Two start in Keswick on 3 July 2027.

Westmorland County Show returns on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September 2026 at Lane Farm, Crooklands.

Current prices

The earlier £20 adult early-bird tier has finished. The live ticket platform now lists £23 adult, £22 concession, £4 child and £54 family. Full displayed prices are £25, £23, £5 and £60.

Free 2026 Kendal bus

There are 18 departures every 30 minutes from Kendal Bus Station, first at 9.15am and last at 5.45pm. Services alternate between A65 and A6 loops and call at Endmoor or Milnthorpe depending on the route.

The last return leaves the showfield at 6.05pm and is due in Kendal about 6.25pm. A Milnthorpe shuttle runs every 30 minutes from 9.15am to 11.45am.

Parking

Parking is free. Follow temporary County Show signs instead of sat nav when you approach Crooklands.

Train

Oxenholme Lake District is the nearest station, around five miles away. The free show bus starts in central Kendal rather than Oxenholme, so allow for an extra connection if using both.

Accessibility

Blue Badge forward parking, accessible toilets, Mobiloo and mobility equipment hire are available. Eligible carers can apply for a free companion ticket with evidence.

Dogs

Dogs must be on a short fixed lead and are excluded from some marquees.

Our tip

Buy before 8 September if you are definitely going. If travelling from Kendal, the free bus is the easiest way to remove parking and traffic from the day.
