Worth It

One of Cumbria's largest agricultural events, with strong livestock, food, rural craft and family appeal. Book before 18 August for the current early-bird prices.

Westmorland County Show takes place at Lane Farm, Crooklands, on Wednesday 9 and Thursday 10 September 2026. The showground is open from 8am to 6pm on both days. The organiser describes the event as a major livestock show with cattle, sheep, pigs, goats, alpacas, heavy horses and light horses. Confirmed broad attractions include foxhounds, show jumping, the Learning for Life Marquee, Women's Institute displays, Cumberland and Westmorland Wrestling, rural crafts, a large local food hall and hundreds of trade stands. Tickets checked on 6 August 2026 are day-specific. Current early-bird prices, available until 18 August 2026: Adult aged 16 to 64: £20 Concession aged 65+ or student: £19 Child aged 5 to 15: £3 Family, two adults and up to three children aged 5 to 15: £42 Under 5s: free The official ticket page also displays higher standard prices of: Adult: £25 Concession: £23 Child: £5 Family: £60 A show guide costs £4 and a show catalogue costs £5. Prices and availability may change, so check the official ticket page before booking. Parking is free. Visitors are asked to follow County Show signs and not satellite navigation on show days. A free bus is planned from Kendal, but the 2026 timetable had not yet been published when this listing was checked. Do not use the linked 2025 timetable for a 2026 journey. Oxenholme Lake District is the nearest railway station, approximately five miles from the showground, with onward travel required. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on a short fixed lead and under control. Dogs are not allowed in some marquees, including the Food Hall and Poultry Marquee. Blue Badge forward parking is available on a first come, first served basis. Accessible toilets are located around the showground, and Mobiloo provides a highly accessible toilet with an adult-sized changing bench and ceiling hoist. Wheelchair and mobility scooter hire can be booked through Advanced Mobility. Registered carers can apply online for a free carer ticket with supporting evidence. The detailed 2026 show timetables and trader lists were still marked as coming soon on 6 August 2026. Check the official event and visitor pages shortly before travelling for late changes.
