About Twisted Willow at the Moot Hall
Twisted Willow has given Keswick's landmark Moot Hall a new everyday role as a multi-concept café, deli, retail and community destination. The Keswick operation began welcoming customers with a soft opening on 19 June 2026 after the café business relocated from Wigton.Café and Cypriot deliThe ground floor is home to Twisted Willow Café, serving speciality coffee, homemade food, cakes and light lunches. Chef and co-owner Constantinos Theophanous grew up in Larnaca, Cyprus, and the food offer draws on Greek and Cypriot family recipes and Mediterranean flavours.Alongside the café is a Greek and Cypriot delicatessen selling authentic products imported from Cyprus, including traditional foods, treats and ingredients that are difficult to find elsewhere in Cumbria.Pets, artists and makersThe first floor includes Twisted Willow Pets, with natural animal foods, treats, accessories and gifts for

dogs and their owners. An independent artist and maker marketplace also gives local creatives a permanent central-Keswick showcase for artwork, gifts, homeware and handmade products.Community and visitor informationFlexible space is intended for workshops, meetings, clubs and community events. Following the closure of the former Lake District National Park tourist information centre in January 2026, Twisted Willow has also retained a smaller visitor-information element, with local guides, leaflets and visitor information available near the front of the building. This is not a replacement for the former full tourist information service, but it is useful for visitors arriving in Market Square looking for local ideas. The Moot HallThe Moot Hall is one of Keswick's best-known landmarks. The current building dates from 1813 and is Grade II* listed. Keswick Town Council supported planning applications for Twisted Willow signage at the Moot Hall in spring 2026, independently confirming the new tenant and business identity. The address is Moot Hall, Market Square, Keswick, Cumbria, CA12 5JR. The central location is easy to reach on foot from Keswick bus station and public car parks. There is no normal customer parking directly outside the Moot Hall. The building is historic and arranged across several levels, so visitors who require step-free access to a particular part of the café, pet shop, makers' marketplace or community space should contact Twisted Willow before travelling. Menus, food-service times and opening hours can change, so check the latest social information before making a special journey.
Worth It
One of Keswick's most interesting recent openings. Greek-Cypriot food gives it character, while the pet boutique, makers' marketplace, community space and visitor information make it much more useful than another standard café.
