The experience reaches platforms up to around 12m and includes a longest zip of approximately 130m. Sundown Adventures 2026 are also listed at Whinlatter for a limited autumn run. These after-dark sessions use illuminated high ropes and zip lines as daylight fades. Current Go Ape information lists Sundown at Whinlatter from £31.95, for ages six and over, with a minimum height of 1.2m. Sessions are limited and date-specific, so use the live booking system rather than travelling without a confirmed slot. Advance booking is strongly recommended for all Go Ape activities. Go Ape asks visitors to arrive around 20 minutes before the booked start time to check in, complete final paperwork, get harnessed and receive the safety briefing. Wear closed, sturdy footwear, dress for the weather and tie back long hair. Activity restrictions and supervision ratios should be checked for every participant before payment. Go Ape Whinlatter is at Whinlatter Forest Park on Whinlatter Pass, close to Braithwaite and around three miles west of Keswick. Forestry England operates the car park using pay-on-exit ANPR. At our September 2026 check, parking was free for stays under 20 minutes, £2.90 for the first hour, then £0.70 per additional 15 minutes, capped at £14 for the day. Parking charges also apply to Blue Badge holders. During the summer months, Stagecoach route 77/77A can link Keswick with Whinlatter, but operating dates and times vary. The visitor centre area has toilets, baby-changing facilities, accessible toilets, food and drink, picnic areas and nearby forest facilities. Go Ape notes that its cabin and activity areas sit on steep and uneven ground. Wheelchairs and pushchairs can reach the course area but may require assistance, so visitors with specific access requirements should contact Go Ape before booking. Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the forest on leads but cannot join participants on the high-ropes course. Whinlatter is also a destination in its own right, with walking trails, mountain-bike routes, cycle hire, a visitor centre and forest viewpoints.
