Prices and booking

Standard two-hour sessions currently cost £23 per person. Advance booking is strongly recommended, particularly during school holidays and summer weekends. A standard session needs a minimum of eight players across the booking, so smaller groups may be rearranged if there are not enough participants booked.

Exclusive use of the arena is available from £460 for up to 20 people, with additional players charged at £23 each up to a maximum group size of 30. This makes Lakes Laser Tag suitable for birthday parties, larger family groups, schools, youth organisations, corporate team building, stag and hen groups.

Ages and supervision

Players must be aged six or over. Groups including children under eight need at least one parent or guardian playing with them, while a parent or guardian must remain on site for under-16s. Check the current booking conditions when reserving a private or group session.

What to wear and what happens in bad weather

The games take place in natural woodland, so wear sturdy trainers or walking boots and outdoor clothing that can cope with mud and changing Lake District weather. Camouflage clothing is provided free of charge. Sessions operate in wet weather as well as dry conditions, so this can be a useful option when the forecast is less than perfect.

Birthday parties and groups

A sheltered party area can be available after the game for qualifying groups, subject to availability. Visitors can bring their own picnic, while catering options may also be available. Groups should arrange party-space requirements in advance rather than assuming the area will be available on arrival.

Parking and accessibility

There is free on-site parking at YMCA Lakeside. The arena itself is natural woodland with uneven ground and some steps, although some stepped sections can be avoided. The base-camp and spectator areas can be reached without steps, and most wheelchairs can reach these areas from the car park via a gradual incline. Party cabins have a step, with ramps available on request. Anyone with specific mobility, sensory or accessibility requirements should contact Lakes Laser Tag before booking so the team can discuss the site and possible adaptations.

Things to do nearby

Lakes Laser Tag combines well with other attractions around the southern end of Windermere, including the Lakeside & Haverthwaite Railway, Lakes Aquarium, Fell Foot and Windermere lake cruises. Newby Bridge, Backbarrow and the A590 are also within easy reach.

The official website and current booking information continue to list YMCA North Camp, Lakeside as the operating location.
