Penrith Sparkle Christmas Lights Switch-On 2026

Penrith Sparkle returns on Saturday 21 November from 3pm to 7pm, with a lit-up parade and the Christmas lights switched on at 6pm.

What to expect

The Penrith BID celebration combines local music and dance performances, crafts, rides, food, Santa and a people-powered Lit Up Parade. At 6pm the BID is encouraging everyone in the crowd to hold something that lights up, so the switch-on glows beyond the decorations overhead. The public event runs 3pm to 7pm.

Good to know

Lights at 6pm. Visitors are invited to bring a safe light-up item for the crowd switch-on.
