A Robinsons pub at North Scale on Walney Island serving home-cooked food and drinks, with a beer garden, family-friendly atmosphere and additional nearby parking.
About The Crown, Walney
The Crown is a traditional Robinsons pub at North Scale on Walney Island, offering a useful food-and-drink stop away from Barrow town centre. It works particularly well after a beach walk, nature-reserve visit or day exploring Walney because it provides proper sit-down meals without needing to cross back over Jubilee Bridge first.
The pub describes its food as home-cooked, supported by a broad drinks range including beer, wine and other pub staples. The setting is relaxed and family friendly, with a beer garden and the feel of a local neighbourhood pub rather than a large roadside chain.

Parking is available, and The Crown also directs customers to additional free parking at North Scale Community Centre around 70 yards away. Visitors should park considerately and avoid blocking residents’ driveways.
Current published opening is 10am to 10.30pm Monday to Wednesday, 10am to 11.30pm Thursday and Friday, 10.30am to 11.30pm Saturday and 10am to 10.30pm Sunday. Food-service times can be shorter than pub opening, so check the current menu or contact the venue if travelling specifically for a meal.
Our local note
A very useful Walney pub for visitors who want a proper meal without returning to the town centre. Pair it with a coastal walk or nature-reserve day.
