Sizergh Castle

Sizergh Castle is a historic attraction in Kendal. The National Trust estate combines a historic house, gardens, woodland and wider walking routes south of Kendal. Exhibitions, displays, activities and outdoor areas may vary by season and programme. Allow enough time to explore rather than treating it as a quick photo stop. Check opening days, admission, accessibility and parking before travelling. Timed entry or pre-booking may apply during busy periods.

Autumn 2026 at Sizergh

Parking: current non-member charges are £3.50 for 1 hour, £6.50 for 2 hours, £8 for 4 hours or £9.50 all day until 1 November.

Autumn guided walks and tours

From 28 September to 26 October, free Monday walks explore Prehistoric Sizergh at 11am and Ancient Trees and Magnificent Murals at 1.30pm. Both require booking. Volunteer-led garden tours are also advertised on selected weekdays to 6 November, subject to volunteer availability.
