The event

What to expect

Saturday 7 November 2026: the Vintage Sports-Car Club returns to the Honister Pass area for its Lakeland Trial. Honister Slate Mine advertises the only official close-up spectator viewing area for the Honister section. Spectator entry is free, but parking charges apply: pay at the Slate Shop and display your ticket. The official page does not confirm exact Honister-section viewing hours. Do not treat a general trial start time elsewhere as an Honister start time.

For safety, follow event marshals and do not stand on the course or park on the narrow mountain pass. The Bait Cabin Café and Slate Shop are expected to be open. Mine tours and activities are separately bookable and are not included with free viewing. Weather and access may change on the day. See Cumbria Guru same-day spectator guide and Honister organiser information.

Accessibility

Official viewing area; contact Honister about specific step-free access. Rough mountain terrain and exposed conditions.

Weather plan

Mountain weather can affect viewing and event running. Check official updates; wear warm, waterproof clothing and suitable footwear.
