About YAZ Youth Café & Nightspot
YAZ is a youth café and nightspot created by NEAD for young people aged 11 to 19 in central Workington. It opened in October 2026 on Pow Street and offers somewhere welcoming to meet friends, try activities and enjoy time together away from the usual adult nightlife.
What can you do at YAZ?
Inside there are gaming facilities, virtual reality, pool, music, a café area and places to sit and chat. Activities and the programme are shaped by young people, rather than being a one-size-fits-all youth club.

Our local note
A genuinely useful new youth-focused place in Workington. Free membership, supervised sessions and a mix of gaming, music and social space make it particularly valuable for local teenagers and families.
