Lakes Art Gallery

Lakes Art Gallery has been part of Grasmere’s independent shopping scene since 1980. The gallery specialises in original paintings and fine-art prints, with work by a broad roster of artists alongside bronze sculpture, photography and other collectable pieces.

Its location on Broadgate makes it an easy cultural stop between the village centre and the northern side of Grasmere. Exhibitions and individual works change, so repeat visitors may find a very different selection from one trip to the next. A framing service and online shop complement the physical gallery.

Browsing is free and no appointment is normally required, although anyone travelling to see a particular artist or work should contact the gallery first. It is a useful rainy-day stop and a stronger option than a generic souvenir shop for visitors looking for Lake District art.
