Worth It
A strong free summer event combining local food, music, family entertainment and two major headline attractions across Maryport waterfront.
The festival takes place across two waterfront sites. The Harbourside Event Space hosts expert cookery demonstrations, The Teenage Market and performances on the Palace Stage. The Marine Road Showfield is home to the Producers' Market, hot food court, Maryport Round Table Festival Bar, Main Stage, kite show, fairground rides and children's activities.
Opening times
Saturday 8 August: 10am to 5pm, with Main Stage music continuing until 7pm.
Sunday 9 August: 10am to 4pm.
General admission is free. Cookery demonstrations, live music, street entertainment, the kite show and children's activities are included. Charges apply for fairground rides.
Festival highlights
TV chef Rosemary Shrager gives a free demonstration at 11am on Saturday.
The Tour de France Grand Départ Trophy visits the festival on Sunday.
More producers' stalls than ever before are expected.
Fresh fish and seafood will be sold from the Chelaris boat on Saturday, weather permitting.
Two stages provide live music, choirs and sea shanties throughout the weekend.
Free family entertainment includes crafts, face painting, magic shows and balloon modelling.
The Teenage Market showcases young Cumbrian traders and creators.

Travel and parking
Maryport has a railway station on the Cumbrian Coast Line and local bus links from surrounding towns. Drivers should use public car parks and avoid residential streets around the festival sites.
The Maryport Classic Car and Vintage Vehicle Show is being held at Netherhall Rugby Club on Saturday from 10am to 4pm. A bus will run between the harbourside and the vehicle show during the day.
