Maryport Christmas Lights Switch-On 2026

Maryport lights up on 21 November, with community entertainment from 1pm, Santa’s Grotto, fairground rides and the big switch-on at 5pm.

What to expect

A stage near the High Street junction starts at 1pm, hosted by Cookie, with local entertainers, fairground rides on upper Senhouse Street and free seasonal face painting from Bethany Gray. Santa’s grotto is planned at the Labour Club, and Christmas crafting at The Carlton. The council says the grotto will require a separate ticket, with booking details released nearer the event. Lights switch on at 5pm.
