Worth It
A strong niche programme for Cumbria's outdoor community: six independent films, five UK premieres and a genuinely memorable live guest in a small village venue.
The six-film programme covers ultra-distance cycling, mental health and community, canyon conservation, blind sailing, glacier retreat and trail running. Five of the six films are UK premieres.
Stu Skinner attends with the 26kg cast-iron Royal Mail postbox featured in Postcards from the Peaks. A Q&A follows his film and visitors can leave a postcard.
Eventbrite lists the screening as all ages with free parking. Wreay Village Hall is at Chapel Hill, Wreay, Carlisle CA4 0RL. The hall is outside central Carlisle, so drivers should arrive early and park only as directed. Contact the organiser before booking if step-free access, wheelchair space, hearing support or a particular seat is essential.
Accessibility
A community venue directory lists accessible parking, full access and an accessible toilet at Wreay Village Hall. Contact Holmlands before booking if wheelchair space, hearing support or a specific seat is essential.
Weather plan
Indoor screening. Allow extra time for rural roads and evening weather.
