Appleby Christmas Lights Switch-On 2026

Appleby’s Christmas lights will be switched on at 6pm on Friday 27 November, after music from Appleby Primary School pupils from 5.30pm.

What to expect

Appleby Town Council is taking on responsibility for the town lights this year and has launched a community fundraiser. Pupils from Appleby Primary School will entertain the crowd at 5.30pm, with the countdown at 6pm. Appleby Town Band will play afterwards, town-centre shops will open late and the Crown and Cushion plans outdoor refreshments by Low Cross.
