Furness Abbey Medieval Fair returns on Saturday 5 September 2026 from 10am to 5pm, with last entry at 4.30pm.
The annual fair is organised by Furness Abbey Fellowship and brings living-history groups, craftspeople and family activities into the abbey ruins.
Who gets free entry?
English Heritage members and residents of LA13, LA14, LA15 and LA16 enter free with proof. Everyone else pays normal Furness Abbey admission.
Furness Abbey Fellowship asks adults for a voluntary £2.50 donation, payable by cash or card.
Food
Abbey Mill Café and Mansergh Hall Hog Roast are listed for refreshments.
Parking
Normal parking is limited, so follow event-day signage and steward instructions.
Make a Furness heritage day
Dalton Castle is due to open 2pm-5pm the same day, making a natural afternoon add-on.
Accessibility
Wheelchair access is available via the Visitor Centre ramp, but historic grass and ground can become soft after rain.
