One of the most traditional visitor events in the south Lakes and easy to combine with Hawkshead, Hill Top and Esthwaite Water.
Hawkshead Show 2026 runs from 9am to 5pm on Tuesday 18 August at Hawkshead Hall Farm, LA22 0NN. The show includes horse classes, sheep, cattle, dogs, horticulture, home produce, crafts, vintage vehicles and trade stands. The senior fell race starts no earlier than 12 noon, covering 7.8km with 244m of climb; minimum age 17. Children's sports start from 2pm. Current visitor listings give £10 adult and £5 child admission; the Fell Runners Association states £9 advance or £10 at the gate for adult show admission connected with the race. Follow temporary showfield parking signs and allow extra time on local roads.
