Eskdale is a beautiful western Lake District valley with riverside paths, waterfalls, woodland, mountain scenery and the much-loved Ravenglass and Eskdale heritage railway.

The River Esk runs from the high fells towards Ravenglass through a landscape that feels increasingly wild and secluded. Small settlements, stone farms and woodland sit beneath routes towards Scafell, Harter Fell and the remote passes linking the valley with central Lakeland.
