“The” Fish & Chip Shop & Restaurant in Keswick
Established for over 30 years, and are still run by the same extended family. Situated in the middle of this ancient market town and centrally positioned in the hub of Keswick, make for an ideal venue for traditional British fish & chip fare.
Our menu has recently been extended to include various home-made dishes procured on the premises using local produce; this includes the very popular “Cumberland sausage” a spicy local delicacy made in Keswick by one of our award winning butchers.
The now-famous home-made steak, ale & mushroom pies utilise Lakeland beef in a marinade of “Jennings of Cockermouth”, Cumberland Ale.
We only use sustainably sourced, wild, organic Cod from the icy waters of North Atlantic, our potatoes are the finest quality, primarily Lincolnshire, Maris Pipers and Markies, selected by our local merchant for their correct sugar content and dry matter percentage, so you get a superior chip…other than 100% vegetable oil (non hydrogenated) and flour, nothing else goes into our fish and chips…no additives…no colours…no preservatives…nothing!! Can other food outlets claim that!
