The Daffodil Hotel & Spa sits beside Grasmere on Keswick Road, a short walk from the village and directly opposite the Wordsworth Grasmere museum and Dove Cottage. Its lakeside position, contemporary interiors and easy access to central Lake District walks make it a convenient base for couples, families and short spa breaks. Accommodation ranges from Daffodil Double and Club rooms to Valley View, Lake View and Lake View Superior rooms, plus Junior, Family, Valley, Senior and Balcony suites. Selected rooms look across Grasmere or towards Helm Crag, while others face the hotel exterior, road or car park. Room sizes, views, baths, showers and balcony access vary, so it is worth checking the exact room category before booking. Three DDA-compliant accessible rooms are available close to lifts and refuge points, with wet-room or low-level-bath options that should be requested in advance.

Residential guests receive access to the hotel's adult-only spa facilities. The spa includes a hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room, tepidarium and relaxation spaces, with TEMPLESPA treatments and a Mud Rasul experience available at an additional cost. The spa is currently open daily from 8am until 8pm, with treatments generally available from 10am. Guests must be aged 16 or over to use the spa, and treatments should be reserved in advance, particularly at weekends. The first-floor Dining Room serves modern British food with views of Grasmere from every window. Breakfast is currently served from 7am until 11am, lunch from noon until 5pm and dinner from 6pm until 9pm. Afternoon tea is available daily from 12.30pm until 4pm, while the Lounge and Lobby Bar serve lighter food, coffee, cocktails and drinks. Between May and August, the Lakeside Terrace offers seasonal dining and afternoon tea outdoors. Non-residents are welcome, but booking ahead is sensible for dinner and afternoon tea. A limited number of bedrooms welcome up to two dogs, currently charged at £25 per dog per night. Dogs are allowed in reception, the lounge, grounds and summer terrace, but not in the Dining Room. Dog-friendly rooms must be selected when booking, and the latest charge and access rules should be confirmed directly. The hotel is family friendly and offers family suites and complimentary cots, although children under 16 cannot use the spa facilities. Check-in is from 3pm and check-out is by 11am; early arrival or late departure may be available for an additional charge. Complimentary on-site parking is available on a level tarmac car park beside the entrance, with a drop-off point at the front door and three electric-vehicle charging points. The hotel has level access, lifts to public areas and accessible rooms, though guests with specific mobility or sensory requirements should discuss them before arrival. Windermere is the nearest railway station, with onward bus and taxi connections to Grasmere. The hotel is well placed for Dove Cottage, Grasmere village, Rydal Water, Rydal Cave, Helm Crag and walking routes around the lake.
