The Cottage in the Wood

Fall asleep to the babbling of the beck and awaken to the songs of the many bird species found within the forest. ‘The Cottage’ offers a peaceful and tranquil location with a vast array of wild life. They offer a range of boutique style accommodation, from their luxurious Garden Room to quaint Cottage Rooms. Each of their nine bedrooms are decorated individually, have flat screen TVs with Freeview channels; DAB radios; telephone and internet connection; Complimentary Wifi (subject to availability) tea and coffee making facilities; Sedbergh organic toiletries; hair dryer.

At ‘The Cottage in the Wood’ their philosophy towards their food is to use the best possible produce they can and to combine seasonal ingredients to create simple and appealing meals. The starting point is their suppliers who are knowledgeable and have long established links with farmers and growers. They are their eyes and ears and regularly come up with something special for them to use in the kitchen.

Their Chef Director, Ben Wilkinson, was awarded a Michelin star in 2019.
