The hotel occupies extensive grounds and combines bedrooms with a restaurant and the informal Walker’s Bar, making it easy to return from the fells without needing to drive for food or drink. Routes towards Stickle Tarn, Harrison Stickle, Pavey Ark and the wider Langdale valley are close by. The rural road and parking can be very busy in good weather, so guests benefit most by arriving, parking and exploring locally on foot or by bus.
