Lake District Tweed

Farm-based Cumbrian tweed inspired by individual Lake District valleys, using wool connected to local farms and sold as cloth, clothing, accessories and homeware.

Lake District Tweed is part of the Dodgson Wood farm-diversification business run from Nibthwaite Grange Farm near the southern end of Coniston Water. The project develops distinctive tweeds connected to Lake District valleys and works with local farming stories and British wool. Products include tweed by the metre, throws, clothing, accessories and gifts. A farm shop operates at Nibthwaite Grange Farm, with limited published opening days and visits by appointment. Because farming and shop hours can change, check the official website before travelling and follow the business's directions rather than relying only on sat-nav.

Our local note

A particularly strong example of a product rooted in the Lake District landscape, farming community and design identity.
