About Cogra Moss
Cogra Moss is an enclosed Forestry England forest surrounding a reservoir near Lamplugh, within easy reach of Frizington and Ennerdale. A surfaced track runs from the small roadside car park at Felldyke towards the dam, while unsurfaced paths continue around the reservoir.
Longer and more demanding routes climb towards Blake Fell, with wide views in clear conditions. Dogs and assistance dogs are welcome. Fly fishing for trout is available from the bank and natural islands, but a permit is required. There are no designated accessible parking bays, and the paths beyond the surfaced approach may be rough, wet or uneven. Check forest safety notices, weather, fishing permits and ground conditions before travelling.
