Lake District Country Hotels is looking for friendly, professional Front of House Staff to join its hospitality teams at Merewood and Briery Wood Country House Hotels in Windermere.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for hospitality and customer service to work in a beautiful Lake District setting. You will play a key role in creating welcoming, memorable experiences for guests, from everyday dining service to weddings and special events.

Key Responsibilities
You will greet guests warmly and provide attentive, high-quality service throughout their visit. The role involves taking food and drink orders accurately, preparing coffee and beverages, and serving meals in line with health and safety standards. You’ll help prepare for and deliver service during weddings and events, maintain a clean and organised front-of-house area, and handle guest enquiries professionally. Working closely with the wider team, you’ll help ensure smooth service during busy periods.

About You
Previous experience in hospitality, catering, or restaurant service is preferred, but a positive attitude and willingness to learn are just as important. Barista experience is an advantage but not essential. You’ll have excellent communication skills, a friendly and professional manner, and the ability to work calmly in a fast-paced environment. A genuine interest in hospitality and delivering outstanding customer experiences is essential.
