Carlisle United is looking to recruit a driven and ambitious Commercial Sales Executive to join its Commercial Department at Brunton Park.

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated sales professional to work within a professional football environment, supporting the growth of the club’s commercial revenue streams. Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager, you will play a key role in generating new business across hospitality, sponsorship, advertising, and commercial partnerships.

The Role

You will actively identify, pursue, and convert new sales opportunities, building strong relationships with businesses and partners. The role involves prospecting through calls, emails, meetings, and networking, negotiating deals, and securing sales that meet and exceed commercial targets.

Alongside new business, you will manage and grow existing commercial accounts, ensuring renewals and long-term partnerships. You’ll work closely with the Commercial Manager and Marketing and Media teams to align sales and promotional activity, support partnership delivery, and contribute to improved commercial performance.

You will also maintain accurate commercial data and pipelines using CRM systems, gather client feedback to improve offerings, and contribute to reporting on sales performance. As an ambassador for the club, professionalism and strong communication are essential at all times.

This role requires availability to work all men’s first-team home matchdays, along with occasional additional events throughout the season.

About You

You will have a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and outreach KPIs, with experience in consultative selling and account management. You’ll be confident generating leads, securing meetings, and closing deals, with a creative and persistent approach to sales.

Strong organisational skills, the ability to manage a sales pipeline effectively, and excellent written and verbal communication are essential. You’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, flexible with hours, and confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools.
