Stage Two of the 2027 Tour de France starts in Keswick on Saturday 3 July 2027, before the peloton heads south through the Lake District and onwards to Liverpool.
The official Tour de France route lists the stage at 223km. Cumberland Council confirms that the opening kilometres leave Keswick in the Lake District National Park and head south past Thirlmere, Grasmere, Rydal Water and Windermere.
Westmorland and Furness Council says the route then turns onto the A5074 just beyond Bowness, continues through the Lyth Valley and joins the A590 and A6, passing through Milnthorpe and Beetham before entering Lancashire.
Beyond Lancaster the stage becomes more rolling, with the Côte de Jubilee Tower and four further categorised climbs before the race reaches Liverpool. Tour organisers say the combination could favour a breakaway, although resilient sprinters may still return to contention for the flatter finish.
