Stage One of the Lloyds Tour of Britain Women 2026 starts and finishes on Main Street in Cockermouth on Wednesday 19 August 2026. The stage is 158.9km with 1,913m of climbing. Riders are scheduled to leave Main Street at 11am for the neutralised start, with the race proper beginning on the A5086 at 11.15am. British Cycling's central estimated finish time back on Main Street is 3.25pm. The official speed-based finish window is approximately 3pm to 3.50pm. The official ETA timetable now gives route windows through western Cumbria. Whitehaven is expected at roughly 11.44am to 11.53am; the Workington A597/A596 section roughly 12.01pm to 12.17pm; Maryport roughly 12.16pm to 12.34pm; the first sprint at Allonby 12.29pm to 12.45pm; Silloth roughly 12.44pm to 1.08pm; Wigton roughly 1.12pm to 1.40pm; Caldbeck around 1.26pm to 2pm; Aspatria 2pm to 2.37pm; Parsonby Brow 2.09pm to 2.48pm; and the first passage of the Cockermouth finish line 2.21pm to 3.02pm. Times are estimates based on race speed, not fixed appointment times. Spectators should arrive well before the earliest time shown and follow all race, police and marshal instructions. British Cycling's stage overview describes a 700m cobbled section in Silloth, while the detailed ETA roadbook marks 600m of cobbles on Eden Street. The roadside race is free to watch.
