Lake Head Car Park is the principal official parking area at Wasdale Head and a major starting point for mountain routes including Scafell Pike and Great Gable.
The car park is reached by remote, narrow roads. Conditions can change quickly, and visitors should never obstruct access routes or rely on mobile reception.
