Follow Forestry England signs for the main visitor centre car park. Some approaches are narrow; coaches must use the published southern approach.
About this car park
Grizedale Forest Main Car Park is the principal visitor parking area beside the main visitor facilities. It uses barrierless ANPR and pay on exit.
Stay under 20 minutes for no charge. The first hour is £2.90, then £0.70 per additional 15 minutes, capped at £14 for the day. Charges apply to Blue Badge holders. Pay by card at the machines, online through Park with Ease within 48 hours, or in cash at the visitor centre during opening hours.
Forestry England lists six accessible spaces at Grizedale. Overnight stays and camping are not permitted in any forest car park.
