Brown Howe is a small public pay-and-display car park beside Coniston Water on the A5084, south of Torver.
It has direct lakeshore access, adjacent public toilets and a picnic area, and is the meeting point for Path to Adventure's Dark Sky Canoeing sessions.
For evening events: the organiser warns that LA12 8DW can route drivers to the opposite side of Coniston Water. Follow the A5084 directions and look for the signed Brown Howe car park. Do not turn into private Brown Howe House parking.
